VIDEO: Spectre SpeedLiner Sets New World Record!

In their pursuit of 400mph, Spectre Performance’s “Spectre Speedliner” became the world’s fastest wheel-driven, gasoline powered vehicle in a final record run of 330.7mph with an exit speed of 340mph (also becoming the world’s fastest Cadillac) on Sunday with Kenny Hoover behind the wheel.
The SpeedLiner was totally redesigned and re-engineered to run in the unlimited Blown Gas Streamliner (AA/ BGS) class under the guidance of crew chief Steve Schmalz of Performance Fabrication in San Carlos, California.
The Cad Company built the 529ci (8.8L) Cadillac engine with twin intercooled 88mm turbos, forged rods, a custom solid roller cam, exotic ported heads with huge extreme duty valves and a custom fabricated sheetmetal intake from Hogans to pull 6,000 rpm; resulting in horsepower numbers in the neighborhood of 2000.
