I dont have all the details yet but I was just contacted by Corey of Agent 47 who informed me that both of the American Iron cars that they sponsor, Ryan Walton’s Fox and Andy Bowman’s SN95, set qualifying times at Willowsprings this morning faster than the track record. While qualifying times don’t count for the record it’s still impressive none-the-less. Ryan this year since running the A47 setup has already tied Infineon’s lap record (qualifying) and earlier this month set the track record at Buttonwillow during racing; Bowman also putting up sub-previous record times in the same race.
In case you don’t already know, Corey is sitting out this season and may race the S197 (The Hunter) in a few races to do some competition testing.
UPDATE: Ryan turned in a 1.29.0 in qualifying and Andy a 1.29.5. I don’t yet know how they did in the race though. However Corey raced The Hunter in the AIX class and took 1st….in a street legal s197!!!
